Intercity Transit is looking for a Marketing, Communications and Outreach Manager to lead our efforts to inform, engage, and maintain a strong public image. ?The manager will serve as the Agency?s primary spokesperson and direct Agency market research, oversee customer information efforts and publications, and direct programs with employers, schools, and community partners.?

As the Marketing, Communications, and Outreach Manager, you will:
- Develop and manage the marketing program for the Agency, to include ridership campaigns and service promotions while promoting the Agency?s branding and multi-year strategic marketing plan and strategies.
- Oversee and support the development of marketing and advertising campaigns and various educational and outreach programs including Youth Education Programs and seasonal Bicycle Community Challenge(s).
- Supervise staff including prioritizing and assigning work, supporting professional development, conducting performance evaluations, and ensuring employees follow policies and procedures.
- Serve as the chief spokesperson and public information officer, which includes issuing media releases and public information communications, responding to or initiating media interest, and maintaining relationships with media contacts.
- Develop and manage publications and reports, public involvement processes, ongoing community and interagency outreach, multi-year communications plan, vendors on advertising and media placement, and website and social media development and communications.
- Provide emergency communications, including service or transportation-related information, and function, as part of the Agency?s senior management team, in the event of a crisis.
- Manage community relations activities by developing and maintaining community partnerships; sponsoring and supporting community events; and performing other related activities.
- Direct the Agency?s market research activities, including customer satisfaction survey and occasional market segmentation, onboard, worksite and paratransit surveys.
- Attend, chair, and support a variety of meetings; serve on committees as requested; make presentations to the Intercity Transit Authority; represent the Agency and makes oral presentations at meetings, conferences, and other external events.
- Direct public involvement processes and community engagement opportunities from both the public and stakeholder groups.
- Develop and present annual division budget; monitor and approve expenditures in accordance with Agency policies and principles of sound fiscal management.
- Administer and report on vendor contracts.
Are you the one we are looking for?
- Bachelor?s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Communications, or a closely related field.
- Five (5) years of experience in marketing and public relations; or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the position.
- You must be willing to submit to a criminal background investigation, the results of which must meet the agency?s hiring criteria.
- Knowledge of supervisory principles and practices; media relations; journalism; program management; budgeting; graphic design, social media, AP Style, print production, and web publishing principles and practices.
- Skilled in managing and supporting staff; writing and editing a variety of materials such as news releases and business communications; preparing publications and reports; applying creative thinking; managing projects; preparing and giving oral presentations; Adobe CC graphic design; mass communication technology (GovDelivery); facilitating meetings; managing media relations; market research and data analysis principles and practices; handling multiple tasks simultaneously; and communication, and interpersonal skills.
