Thank You, Pastors!

Thanks so much to those who joined us for our Pastor Briefings on the 8th and 13th. We're so glad you took time out of your busy schedule to meet with us and hear Supreme Court Justice Brian Zahra share how to navigate the critical issues of our culture. We hope you feel empowered to promote responsible Christian citizenship in your church.

Abortion Update

The Perils of Proposal 3

Proposal 3 will appear on the ballot for all Michigan citizens this November. Do you know what it does? This radical, dangerous amendment to our state's constitution legalizes far more than just abortion. Stay informed! Read all about it by clicking the button below.

Issue Brief on Proposal 3

CTV is partnered with Citizens to Support MI Women and Children, a coalition formed to bring awareness to the dangers of Proposal 3 and stop this radical alteration to Michigan's Constitution. Click here to learn more.

Did you know? This amendment would repeal Michigan's partial-birth and late-term abortion bans. It would also allow minors to get abortions without parental consent.

This goes much further than any previous pro-abortion law or policy, allowing for unrestricted abortion access and erasing the role of parents in their children's lives. Proposal 3 must be stopped if we are to save the lives of tens of thousands of children every year in Michigan.

Education and Family

Michigan Senate Passes Resolution Against LGBT Training Videos for Teachers

On Monday, Sept 20th, the Michigan Senate adopted a resolution condemning Michigan Department of Education teacher training videos. These clips instructed teachers not to report a child's gender or sexual orientation to parents, even if it was contributing to suicidal thoughts for the child.

The resolution states: "This not only puts a child's life at risk, but it also denies parents their fundamental right to protect the health and safety of their children."

Senate Majority Leader Mike Shirkey said, "It shouldn’t require a resolution or a vote, but here we are in 2022 having to reaffirm that it is parents, not bureaucrats, who should ultimately make educational and health decisions for their children."  Click here to read more about this story.

Tudor Dixon Calls for Resignation of Michigan Superintendent

On Tuesday, Republican gubernatorial candidate Tudor Dixon called for Michael Rice to resign. Rice currently serves as the superintendent of public instruction in Michigan. The statement came as a response to the clips of LGBT teacher training videos that went viral online. The videos advocated for teachers to hide student information from parents even when a child's life might be in danger. Click here to read more about this story.

Biden's Unconstitutional Title IX Revisions Could Eliminate Safe Spaces for Women

The public comment period for President Biden's Title IX revisions has ended. The Education Department is now tasked with reviewing and responding to comments, but before this disastrous statute sweeps our nation, it is the responsibility of our state leaders to refuse its enforcement.

Title IX is an unconstitutional abuse of executive power, as it bypasses Congress entirely. But what does it actually do? It would bring radical LGBT policies to schools all across the country, forcing teachers to affirm gender identity no matter what. This means we may see the end of women's sports and safe spaces such as bathrooms or locker rooms.

The Education Department maintains that it has the authority for this, yet ignores the facts. They want to use the Supreme Court's Bostock decision to support the Title IX revisions, but this argument is unfounded. Click here to read more about this story.
