John,
In Iowa and states all across the country, people are having their rights attacked by extremist politicians. It’s the state legislatures that are ground zero for these attacks on our freedom to vote and women’s reproductive freedom.
That brings me to Iowa House District 78, where my friend Sami Scheetz is up against one such extremist: Republican Anne Fairchild.
-
Anne wants to limit the ability for voters to cast absentee ballots, and she doesn’t support same day voter registration.
- Anne believes that "We should be unambiguous in [...] how the Bible's teachings influenced our founders in K-12." WHAT??!
-
Anne also buys into Trump’s Big Lie that the "voter rolls are being manipulated to steal our elections."
Sami, on the other hand, wants to empower Iowans to make their voices heard and have a seat at the table. He will fight for our public schools, workers’ rights, and protect and defend our democratic ideals.
That’s why I’m asking: Will you split a contribution between Sami’s campaign and mine to help elect two more defenders of our democracy to the Iowa legislature?
The last thing we need is more far-right extremists who want to attack their constituents’ freedoms, rather than serve ALL the people they represent.
Standing Tall for All,
