A stop on this tour was Mount Carmel, where Tom tells us the significance of Israel's mission called: OPERATION OPERA, to secure Israel's sovereignty against a very real threat of a nuclear attack from Iraq.
OPERATION OPERA was a miracle from start to completion. Miracles and blessings provided to Israel from biblical times to current have many times had a shared impact on the world. One such miracle out of the Bible, God's protection given to Elijah against the army of Baal on Mount Carmel. It could be compared to the miraculous operation that Israel took on in OPERATION OPERA. It's success changed world events for America and the international community.

American and coalition forces may have faced a nuclear-armed Iraq during the Persian Gulf War in 1991, and again during the U.S. invasion of Iraq in 2003, had Israel not destroyed Iraq’s nuclear reactor in 1981.
The attack, code named “Operation Opera,” surprised the Iraqis and the rest of the world, though for Israel it had long been in planning. It was only after the failures on the diplomatic front, and the consultation of military and intelligence experts with Prime Minister Menachem Begin’s cabinet, that Israel chose to go ahead with the attack on the Iraqi reactor.
THINK how different the world would have become if the tyrant dictatorship and evil that ran Iraq had been successful in becoming a nuclear-armed Iraq! THANK YOU ISRAEL!
