When I first ran for Congress, everybody said it was impossible. I unseated an incumbent with millions in the bank and the support of the local and national Democratic establishments -- because I knew that our communities deserved better and that we were going to have to fight for it. 

Since then, I've dedicated my career to building our political power. I've mentored young people of color running for office, I've built a coalition so progressive leaders don't have to run unsupported, and I've leaned on my deep community ties to ensure I'm bringing your voice to Congress. 

But the work doesn't stop here. I'll continue to organize -- both in Congress and here in New York -- and fight for our political power. Are you with me?
