43 YEARSJohn -- That’s how long Doug La Follette has been Wisconsin’s Secretary of State. He and Wisconsin Democrats can see the writing on the wall, though, and know his nearly half-century in office will be over when I beat him in November! That’s why they’ve been taking thousands in campaign dollars from out-of-state liberal elites such as Steven Spielberg. John, they are following the national progressive playbook of dumping millions into battleground state races to discredit and disgrace viable Republican opponents. We can’t let it work in Wisconsin. Doug and his allies have had to resort to scare tactics to demonize me and what I will do with the office. Here’s the truth, though: my campaign is and always has been about restoring purpose and respect to the office of SOS and making it work again for the people.
