Another cruel charreada is scheduled for tomorrow in Boone County, Illinois at: 7818 IL-173, Popular Grove, IL 61065 - 11 am - 8 pm. Earlier this week, SHARK was able to prove that the security documentation the charreada provided did not meet the requirements for a permit to hold this event tomorrow. That means there cannot be a legally held charreada/rodeo.

However, yesterday, SHARK President Steve Hindi flew a drone over this location and clearly there are preparations underway for an event, even though a permit has not been received to do so.

This is where you come in. Please email or call to request that this event not be allowed to happen and if it does, demand that it be immediately shut down since a permit was not issued for this event.

The organizers of the charreada scheduled for tomorrow have not provided the correct security documentation in order to get a permit for this event. If the event proceeds tomorrow without the permit, please immediately shut it down since it violates the County's requirements. 

I have seen video links from Showing Animals Respect and Kindness of the brutal steer tailing charreadas including horse beatings held in your county in recent weeks.

The charreadas violated the Illinois Humane Care for Animals Act, the IL Stock Contractor Requirements and the PRCA Livestock Welfare Rules. Why isn't there any enforcement of these regulations? These charreadas should not be allowed to continue and this one also doesn't meet the Boone County permit requirements!
