J.R. Majewski is the Republican running for Congress against my friend Marcy Kaptur. If you’ve seen him on Twitter or the campaign trail, he’s the one who talks like a tough guy about the combat he saw in Afghanistan. But that’s all a lie. He never went to Afghanistan. He’s a walking example of stolen valor. I deployed to Iraq in 2005 and my unit saw some of the worst fighting and heaviest casualties in the war. I struggle with it to this day. So it makes me absolutely sick when anyone — but especially someone running to serve like J.R. Majewski — lies about their service in Iraq or Afghanistan. That’s why I am going to do everything I can to make sure he loses to my friend Marcy. And I am asking for your help to get it done: Can you please split a $10 donation, or any amount you can afford, today between Marcy Kaptur and Emilia Sykes’ campaigns for Congress? The amount isn’t nearly as important as the number of people contributing today to support her.
