Parents Struggle to Spot The Signs of Depression in Teens

Anyone over the age of 12 knows how turbulent your teen years can be. Hormones are raging, tempers are flaring, and mood swings aren't uncommon. Medications for Addiction Treatment: An Overdose Prevention Measure

Although controversial, many people challenged with opioid addiction find that medications for addiction treatment is one of many viable paths to recovery, thereby reducing overdose deaths. Ginger Rosela, one of MCF’s Family Peer Support Specialists for substance use disorder, recently became trained to offer presentations on medications for addiction treatment. To arrange a presentation, call 410-730-8267.

The suggestions in this guide are designed to help you anticipate and prepare for situations that might come up. The needs of each child and family will be unique, but these areas have proved to be important areas of focus for many.

2020 Maryland Census: Be Counted!

The United States is required to perform a national count of all people living in each state every ten years. The census is important - it determines representation in Congress and impacts local legislative districts, and it is the basis for funding critical programs and services. Every Marylander not counted in the census costs the state approximately $18,250 over ten years. The census is easy – it can be done by mail, by phone and online. All information submitted must be kept confidential, including a resident’s citizenship, income and other sensitive personal data. Don’t miss this opportunity to be counted!
