In just a moment, I am going to ask you to contribute to my campaign for U.S. Senate as part of our end-of-year fundraising push. My hope is that you will give me a moment to explain why this request is so important.

For too long, Mitch McConnell has turned the Senate into a place where good ideas go to die -- by blocking just about every common-sense bill that crosses his desk. Last time I checked, there are nearly 400 bills passed by House Democrats just piling up and collecting dust.

The truth is, McConnell doesn't work for folks like you and me. He works for those who cut him hefty checks and fill his campaign coffers with special interest cash. We deserve better than this sort of pay-to-play politics.

Next year, we have a unique opportunity to deliver the change millions of Americans have been waiting for. Democrats only need to flip four seats to take back the Senate, but holding strong in Minnesota is the key to victory.

Chip in $10 or more toward our end-of-year goal to help us save Minnesota's Senate seat and put Democrats on a path to win the majority. Your contribution before the deadline would give our campaign the resources we need in the new year.
