Friend — We are fighting to ensure that these 5 Rights become a reality for every American.
1. The Right to Health
Universal health care must be a right, not a privilege. Everyone should have the chance to live a healthy life — and our government needs to act to protect and expand the foundations of our health care system.
2. The Right to an Equal Vote
A strong democracy depends on the broadest participation possible. Everyone must have an equal voice to demand justice from our government, and everyone must be able to vote — with no discrimination and no barriers.
3. The Right to Clean Air and Clean Water
Everyone has the right to breathe fresh air and drink clean water, free from industrial poisons. Corporations must not be able to violate this right for the sake of their profits.
4. The Right to Learn
Without guaranteed access to a good education, there’s no such thing as equal opportunity. Our government must protect the right to a free, quality, public education from preschool through college and skills training.
5. The Right to a Living Wage
No one should be forced to work more than one full-time job just to survive, and no one should see their raise eaten up by the rising cost of living. We must guarantee a livable minimum wage.
Thanks,

P.S. We have a story from Laura in Texas that we hope inspires you to share your story:
"[I have] this little baby sweater [that] was supposed to belong to a sister of mine. A sister who was never born because my mom had an extremely rare form of cancer in her pregnancy. A cancer so rare, it was considered one in a million at the time. Until one of her best friends, who lived almost down the street, also developed the exact same very rare type of cancer.
We had no idea at the time, but this whole area in south Texas was part of a cancer cluster…. At the time they thought it was God’s will, but now we know it was not… It was pollution, and it was corporate greed. And corporate irresponsibility. It was these massive industrial farms that were just spraying tons and tons of pesticide and fertilizer, which was running off directly into the water…
I don’t think anyone was thinking about social responsibility, saying ‘we need to think about the people who live here as well. We have to be responsible parts of the community and not just think about our bottom line and how we can maximize profit by just dumping directly into what is everyone’s water supply here’… I was tired of our community being a dumping ground for these companies. I think they come here because we’re Hispanic and we’re poor...
So I am a huge Tom Steyer fan…He’s fighting for clean air and clean water."
