The Republican nominee for governor in New Mexico has proposed a constitutional amendment that could place new limitations on access to abortion procedures. Mark Ronchetti is advocating for a ban on abortions after 15 weeks of pregnancy – similar to last week’s proposal for a nationwide abortion ban from Sen. Lindsey Graham.
We must remember that the reason we maintained our reproductive rights was because we put the voices of our people first.
As so many of our neighboring states rolled back their abortion access, the strength of our democracy made sure the will of the people was reflected in our government, our policy, and our practices.
We’ve said it before and we’ll say it again: our reproductive rights and voting rights are fundamentally linked. Maggie is committed to keeping our elections transparent, accessible, and safe for all. Help her keep New Mexico’s laws representative of our people by donating $20 or whatever you can afford right now →

Forward,
