This past year Republicans have made strides in restoring common sense law and order in the Commonwealth. We at the Republican Party of Virginia want to highlight the fantastic work our Delegates and Senators in the General Assembly were able to accomplish this past session.
Today, we highlight Senator Todd Pillion from Southwest Virginia. This past Legislative Session, Senator Pillion sponsored SB600 which requires local School Boards to work with the localities Chief Law Enforcement Officer when conducting yearly safety audits. Previously the Superintendent was only required to provide a copy of the audit to Law Enforcement upon request.
Senator Pillion also spearheaded SB 726 which makes it the official policy of the General Assembly to encourage agricultural production in the Commonwealth with specific emphasis on the livestock industry. Providing our farmers with incentives to ramp up production will help every Virginian when they go to the grocery store.
