[1]Ruben Gallego for Arizona

The 2020 election revealed just how far extremist Republicans are willing to go to overthrow our democracy if their candidate doesn’t win.

And because they have not given up their efforts of causing chaos in our electoral system for future elections, it’s critical we do what we can now to prevent bad-faith actors from succeeding.

There’s a bill in Congress called The Presidential Election Reform Act, and it needs your support.

The bill would clarify that the Vice President has no authority to delay or reject the counting of electoral votes.

It ensures Congress receives only one, accurate electoral certificate from each state.

And it prevents state legislatures from passing laws that would retroactively affect the results of an election.

It’s a sad fact that we need this kind of action, but January 6th and the months that followed make it clear we do.

It passed the House, now we need it to pass the Senate. Please voice your support:

Please sign my petition urging the United States Senate to pass the Presidential Election Reform Act as soon as possible. We cannot wait until there is a new Senate to get this done.

Let me also be clear, that this legislation is not a substitute for additional legislation that reinforces Americas’ voting rights.
