I doubt many of you watched last night's three-hour debate. (It seemed like 8 hours!) My trusted staff and I did watch it.

At times, it seemed like seven people were running for president of a mythical country where everything was terrible – no economic growth, rampant racism, people dying in the streets for lack of health care, and it was all the fault of anyone who has been successful.

The competing visions for the future of America are incredibly stark. Will we remain a nation committed to free markets? Or will we embrace socialism? Will we protect innocent life? Or will we continue to destroy a million unborn babies every year? Will we rein the Deep State? Or will unelected bureaucrats decide our elections?

These are the stakes.
