Reuters just added Maine to its list of “12 Governor Races to Watch” and all eyes are on our fight to stop Paul LePage and a GOP takeover.

It’s not just the governor’s race making headlines – Sabato’s Crystal Ball named the Maine legislature a toss up this November. That means that Republicans could take over every level of Maine government and force their extreme agenda on Maine families and workers.

It is crucial that we keep Maine blue. Paul LePage has shown us he’s the same erratic LePage that denied Mainers health care, joined anti-abortion rallies, and bullied or threatened anyone who disagreed with him.

When LePage took a long vacation in Florida, Gov. Mills and Maine Democrats worked hard to undo the damage he caused. We kept Mainers safe during the pandemic, expanded Medicaid, and protected access to reproductive care. Maine Republicans are ready to strip all that away – and these races are going to be close.
