Dear John,

Happy Friday! We are sharing a new round of all things interesting, inspiring, and infuriating. As a reminder, this is a collection of content our team has been sharing amongst ourselves and thought might resonate with you too. Grab some coffee or tea and kick off your Friday with us!

We've got a mixed bag for you this time. Here are two rage-inducers, followed by two palate-cleansers:

  1. This month Senator Lindsey Graham introduced a national abortion ban bill to bring the U.S. "in line with the rest of the world." 😠 (But we feel good about our response.)

  1. This one's a bit of a Trojan horse: The headline—South Carolina senators reject a near-total abortion ban— is great news, but inside the article we learn: "Senators did pass a few changes to the six-week ban, including cutting the time that victims of rape and incest who become pregnant can seek an abortion from 20 weeks to about 12 weeks and requiring that DNA from the aborted fetus be collected for police." Can we just not??? 😡

  1. But don't despair! The threat to basic bodily autonomy in the U.S. is driving voter registration among young women through the roof just in time for the midterms. Okay ladies, now let's get in formation. 🧍‍♀️🧍🏻‍♀️🧍🏼‍♀️🧍🏽‍♀️🧍🏾‍♀️🧍🏿‍♀️

  1. We're loving this article in The Atlantic, which details the role rural women in Brazil played in discovering misoprostol's efficacy in having an abortion with pills. 👍

  1. Bonus item: Ipas merch! Don't forget we have new items in our shop, including these colorful tees with a bold statement on the back!
