Dear Friend,

Given the abject failure of Ohio’s leaders in securing Constitutionally fair and final electoral maps, as well as the unprecedented energy scandal that still casts a shadow over Ohio’s Statehouse, support for candidates who are dedicated to ensuring legislative and electoral integrity has become even more critical.

That's why Ohio Citizen Action is proud to announce the organization’s round of c4 endorsements for the 2022 election cycle. The endorsement slate includes statewide, Congressional, and state legislative candidates.

These are not paper endorsements. We will be knocking on doors and talking with Ohio voters in strategic areas.

The power to hold on to our democracy lies with you.

Please consider  a special contribution to support our electoral work today.

Ongoing turmoil for NOPEC and its customers

NOPEC’s plan to purge 550,000 of its customers brings up a lot of questions. Competitors, state regulators and elected officials in Cleveland’s suburbs and consumer advocacy groups like us want to know why NOPEC's electricity suddenly costs twice as much others around the state.

Rachel Belz, executive director of the grassroots Ohio Citizen Action, organized a press conference of mayors and local officials last week. They asked why NOPEC’s prices are spiking unlike other aggregators, when NOPEC knew about the price spike, and whether NOPEC dropped the ball somewhere.
