Ron DeSantis’s cruel stunt of sending dozens of Venezuelan migrants to a blue state, designed purely to create buzz on Fox News and (somehow?) make liberals look bad, backfired BIG-time.

First, Massachusetts residents greeted the migrants with open arms and compassion without hesitation, not vitriol. Second, the entire stunt was very, very illegal and may result in serious consequences for DeSantis. Oh, and the migrants he trafficked? All of them came to the US legally. Oops!

This entire story is despicable, team. Not a day goes by without MAGA Republicans like DeSantis reaching for a new, inhumane low. This is what we’re up against. Where Democrats lead with empathy and open-mindedness, Republicans lead with xenophobia and cruelty. The GOP routinely rejects the humanity of minorities and treats their rights like a pawn to use for their own political gain. This is as un-American and morally depraved as it gets, so we have to take them down.
