Time is ticking, submit a comment to prevent this

We’re 10 days away from the USCIS new rule deadline, Friend — we need you to submit a comment NOW!!

ICYMI: The Trump administration is proposing a sinister new plan to further its efforts in criminalizing and oppressing our people. This time, Trump’s administration is trying to make it nearly impossible for people to apply for protection. Which will ultimately affect the physical and mental wellbeing of folks who rely on these reliefs. Let me break it down for you:

  • In order to receive protection, folks could find themselves sacrificing their needs as this proposed fee increase would mean inquiring more debt, working longer hours, and other financial hardships that could affect their mental & physical wellbeing.

  • DACA recipients, asylum seekers, and individuals applying for naturalization would see their money transferred from USCIS to ICE, which could then be used to detain and deport themselves or members of their families. Leaving folks conflicted and discouraged to seek relief.

STOP THIS NOW!

It’s obvious that these fee increases are designed to target and spread fear among low-income people of color as well as force our communities to live without protection from deportation. But luckily, we have a way to stop this!! If enough of us comment against this proposal, we can delay and STOP the regulation and prevent it from harming our communities.

The best part is that by law, each unique comment must be read by a government official. Which means they’ll have no choice but to hear our voices. 🗣

SAY THOSE COMMENTS LOUDER FOR THE ONES IN THE BACK!

December 30th is just around the corner, Friend so join us in taking action before it's too late!!

Write a comment against this proposed rule before the 30th and ask your friends & family to do the same.

By working side-by-side, we can prevent this administration from further terrorizing our communities.

We’re in this together,

Greisa and the rest of the UWD team
