Dear John,

There’s an urgency to the work of the Great Commission. Paul prayed in 2 Thes 3:1 that the message of the Lord would “ spread rapidly and be honored.”

With only two more missions left for 2022, more than 60,000 people gave their hearts to Christ during this year of AE 's 60th anniversary. These people were reached through Stratified Evangelism (sharing the Gospel with people where they work, live and in market places). All these new believers are thirsty for the Word of God and have the same desire. A desire to grow in the understanding of Christ and His Word, with an immediate need to be looked after and educated Spiritually, as they place their trust in God.

As African Enterprise staff, evangelists and missioners, we celebrate 60 years of ministry by bringing more people to Jesus. People like Mr and Mrs Shepard that we met during the Lusaka mission.

Volunteers met with Mr. Shepherd, who had a very troubled marriage. Later in the afternoon, as they met again, he was heading to the police station to meet with his estranged wife. They have been separated and Mr Sheperd wanted to resolve their marital problems. The mission volunteers initially prayed with him and he surrendered his life to Jesus amidst tears. Two mission volunteers were sent by the mission team to mediate the discussion between the estranged couple and the police. By the grace of God, their reconciliatory intervention efforts bore fruits. The couple, together with relatives, came to Oasis of Love Church where missioners spent time praying with the family. Loveliness also gave her life to Jesus, and she reunited with her husband, Mr. Shepherd. They were encouraged to return the next morning for more marital counselling and prayers with the senior pastor at Oasis of Love Church, Avondale. They both gladly agreed to return.

“ For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— not by works, so that no one can boast. For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.” –Ephesians 2:8-10

Let us pray:

*
That all new believers will be followed up effectively.
*
That the true Gospel will be shared with our new believers and a fire be ignited.
*
That the local churches will support the new believers on their journey.
*
That opportunities will be provided for personal growth and spiritual formation that will strengthen the new believers on their Christain path.
*
Against negative influence in their life whilst they are still young Christians.
That the new believers will have an opportunity to share the Word of God with someone else.
*
That the presence of the Holy Spirit will be the testimony for these new believers that they are children of God.
*
That the Holy Spirit will show them how to pray and guide them as they read the Bible.
*
That the new believers will be disciples, followers of Christ Jesus.

Yours in Christ,

Jorge Rodrigues
