Hi John, Governor Kathy Hochul here. Wes told me I should reach out to you.

I promise not to take too much of your time. But as you know, Wes and I have important fundraising goals coming up on September 30. And while right now, we’re coming up short of our goal, I’m confident that with a strong rush of support from folks chipping in to this email, we can make up the difference.

Wes and I are running against far-right extremists for governor in New York and Maryland. While we both want to protect reproductive freedom, keep communities safe from gun violence, and ensure access to the ballot box, our opponents are pushing a dangerous MAGA agenda including banning abortion and denying election results.

Hitting our critical fundraising goals will help Wes and I determine how we allocate our resources in our campaigns’ final weeks before the election. We’ve still got lots of work to do — organizing communities across our states, reaching undecided voters, and ensuring that our grassroots campaigns can overcome GOP attacks.

John, if you’re able, will you consider splitting $10 or whatever you can afford today between me and Wes to ensure we have what it takes to win in November? Let’s build on the progress we’ve made together and keep moving New York and Maryland forward.
