Friends — it is hard to believe we have almost reached the end of the year.  It was just last year that I promised, if elected, I would work with anyone to get things done for my district and for people across the country.  I’m so proud of all of the things we’ve accomplished together in 2019.

With colleagues and partners on both sides of the aisle, this year, I have worked to:

- Keep us safer by strengthening background checks and preventing gun violence
- Secure our elections from foreign influence and interference
- Protect our health care and lower prescription drug prices
- Codify equal protection under the law for all
- Safeguard reproductive rights and Title X family-planning funding
- Build our infrastructure and make it safer and more resilient.
- Improve disaster recovery
- Assist and protect victims of domestic violence
- Make housing more affordable and combat homelessness
- Support veterans and Gold Star families
- Protect our environment
- Strengthen our economy
- Improve trade relations and agreements
- Provide effective oversight and restore checks and balances in our government

I am so grateful for the opportunity to work for you and for all Americans every day in Congress.

As we look ahead to 2020, we know that many people would like to take my place—there are already six on the ballot.  They are aggressively working—with the help of national party bosses in D.C.—to misrepresent the good work I have done and to build their own war chests.

I have faith in the coalition we built in 2018, and I have confidence in the work I have done—for my district and for all Americans.  But our campaign will need resources to share the message of what we have done and what we can continue to do together.
