Hey folks,

A couple weeks back I sent you all a survey to gauge what issues you think will decide the upcoming midterm elections. As I’m traveling the country helping Democrats this fall, I was grateful to get the chance to read some of your responses. As your feedback poured in from across the country, you overwhelmingly made it clear that these three issues are head and shoulders above the rest:

Reproductive rights. Voting rights. Taking on Trump and the ultra-MAGA movement.

Over the past few months, Democratic support has surged in numerous swing elections, and those issues had a lot to do with it. We’ve seen reproductive rights drive an unprecedented number of voters to the polls in Kansas. Assaults on voting rights have helped mobilize large scale voter registration projects. Ultra-MAGA candidates have been rejected in special elections from Alaska to New York.

Needless to say, I agree with you. And as I travel around and talk to voters in states across the country, those same exact issues are brought up time and again. Americans are uniting together and it’s clear you are ready to go to the polls on Election Day.

Now, I still hear pundits talking about how historically unprecedented it would be for Democrats to win this November. But you know what’s really historically unprecedented? The extremist Republicans who are running to end reproductive rights, restrict voting rights, and replace democracy with ultra-MAGA. We’ve got a good chance at winning, we just need to keep up the effort.
