[ [link removed] ]Welch for Vermont

Hello,

The day after the 2018 Parkland shootings, we came within an eyelash of
having a mass shooting at a school in Fair Haven, Vermont. Our state has a
long tradition of responsible gun use, but things in this country have
changed deeply, and it’s past time we begin addressing those changes.

We’re facing a serious gun violence crisis in America, and the gun
manufacturers themselves are largely at fault. During a House Oversight
Committee hearing last month, I got the chance to speak to a couple of
these manufacturers, and I refused to back down when they tried to avoid
answering my questions.

I’m not dropping this issue any time soon, Friend, and it’s a
fight I’ll be looking to win as Vermont’s next senator. But first, we’ve
got to win this November’s election, and there’s not a moment to waste if
we’re going to make it happen.

[ [link removed] ]Our best chance at holding the gun manufacturers accountable and
rethinking our gun laws is through a Democratic majority, and this Vermont
Senate seat could make all the difference. If you’re able, please pitch in
$5 or anything you can to power us to victory.

On the other hand, my opponent is against any additional gun control
measures at all. If he’s elected, he’ll help Mitch McConnell bring this
fight to a standstill, and there are far too many lives at stake for us to
let this issue die on the vine.

The gun control legislation we’ve already passed this year has given us
major momentum that we can build on, and that’s why winning this Senate
seat is so important for the future of our state and our country. Whether
it's gun manufacturers, the NRA, or Mitch McConnell himself, you can
always count on me to stand up for you and ask the tough questions. I
never stop fighting for our shared values, and I will bring that mindset
to the Senate.

[ [link removed] ]Gun violence is an epidemic in our country, but it’s a problem I’m
committed to solving. Help me keep this issue alive in the Senate by
making a $5 donation to our campaign today.

Thanks again for all you do,

Peter
