Tonight at 9:00 PM ET (6:00 PM PT), ABC will honor the contributions of
our friend and People For the American Way cofounder, Norman Lear. Please
join us by tuning in tonight to honor Norman’s incomparable and enduring
legacy.

During the special, you’ll hear intimate stories and heartwarming
reunions, touching on the incomparable impact Norman has had on American
popular culture through the years.

For me, this special is not only a continued birthday tribute to a storied
artist, activist, and philanthropist but a reminder of why this work — our
shared work — is so
important. I hope you’ll watch and be inspired to continue the fight to
protect the things that truly make this country great: freedom of
expression, overcoming obstacles through teamwork and a commitment to our
communities.

In continuation of Norman’s centennial birthday, People For is also proud
to be hosting a live celebratory virtual dance party on Saturday, October
1 at 6:30 PM ET (3:30 PM PT) that will feature award-winning musician and
producer DJ D-Nice, an online art store, greetings from Norman’s friends,
and a special message to viewers from Norman himself!
