Fellow Conservative,

Next week, Congress is going to vote on a continuing resolution (CR) to continue current levels of government funding past September 30. But Congress is planning to let the CR expire on December 16…setting up a spending fight right before Christmas.

Here’s the problem... Historically, Congress has pushed through bad spending deals while their constituents are busy with the holidays.

The midterm election is in November, and that new Congress won’t be sworn in until January! Any spending bill decided in December will be voted on by a lame duck Congress.

A better outcome would be for the CR to expire in January or February—let the new Congress set the spending and policy agenda for 2023. This is the best way to reflect the will of voters!

Nancy Pelosi’s party is about to lose control of the House. We shouldn’t let them set the agenda for 2023 on their way out!

This week’s podcast goes into detail about this spending fight, how it could play out, and what issues are at stake.

The Democrats have used this tactic before. In 2020, a last-minute vote in December was used to pass a massive spending bill which has directly contributed to the economic problems we are currently facing.

Your representatives in Congress need to hear from you. They need to know that America is opposed to a sneaky spending bill in December.

So let’s pass a CR that extends funding until January. Then a new Congress can pass a bill to set the agenda for 2023

We don’t want open borders or high crime. We don’t want more funding for the transgender agenda. American voters should be the ones to decide the spending and policy agenda for 2023.
