For our communities to prosper, it is important that we continue to create more well paying jobs here in Texas-28. That is why I helped pass the American Rescue Plan, the Infrastructure Law, the CHIPs and Science Act, and the Inflation Reduction Act. Together these policies have resulted in historically strong job creation. 

Historically Strong Job Creation: Data show that 25,900 jobs have been created in Texas-28 since January 2021. 1,133,200 jobs have been created statewide.

Clean Energy Jobs: Last year, 25,000 workers in Texas-28 were employed in clean energy and emerging sectors of the economy, and 35,000 more worked in occupations that will be increasingly in demand as the United States transitions to cleaner, more secure energy.

Manufacturing Jobs: As of August, 90 manufacturing jobs have been created in Texas-28 since President Biden came into office. Statewide, more than 65,000 manufacturing jobs have been created.

Business Growth: Last year, 8,800 applications to start a new business were filed in Texas-28, up from 5,400 pre-pandemic. There were 492,000 business applications filed in Texas, up from 274,900 before the pandemic.

Among the many job-creating measures that I have helped champion are the American Rescue Plan which put shots in arms, got kids back in schools, and jumpstarted our economic recovery; the CHIPS and Science Act, which fixes our supply chains and makes more critical goods in America; the Inflation Reduction Act, which includes historic investments in clean, secure American energy; and the Infrastructure Law, which is rebuilding our roads, bridges, and transit systems, bringing broadband to every community, and replacing lead pipes and cleaning up drinking water.
