John, I’m holding the people of Puerto Rico in my thoughts and prayers.

Hurricane Fiona made landfall on Sunday, delivering heavy rains and catastrophic flooding. The entire island lost power. Even today, many across the island still have no power or running water.

As a member of the House Appropriations committee, I will do everything in my power to provide robust aid, immediate relief, and support rebuilding efforts.

And in the meantime, we can all assist the recovery efforts by supporting Nuestra Escuela — who will be providing direct support to a coalition of local organizations that are leading humanitarian aid efforts on the ground.
