Time is running out for at-risk parents and children
Save the Children Action Network is the political voice for kids.
John –
The deadline to renew the Maternal, Infant and Early Childhood Home Visiting program (MIECHV) is just days away – and thousands of futures are on the line.
Struggling parents and children rely on these services to overcome devastating challenges like hunger, unemployment, poverty and limited access to health care.
Save the Children Action Network advocates from around the country have been in Washington, DC this week to let their members of Congress know: we have to strengthen and protect MIECHV – because thousands of families can’t afford to lose this essential support.
Save the Children Action Network’s 2022 Advocacy Summit is in full swing!
With the deadline to renew MIECHV just 10 days away, families across the nation need our voices now more than ever – so today, I’m hitting Capitol Hill alongside advocates like you.
Together, we’re fighting for kids’ rights and telling Congress how critical it is to invest in their futures.
John, we’ve been speaking out in support of home visiting for months – and Congress is finally listening.
A bipartisan group of lawmakers just introduced a bill that would renew MIECHV and double funding over the next 5 years – giving hundreds of thousands more parents and children access to essential early learning and health services!
Now, we need to ensure this legislation passes the House and Senate.
Home visiting is a ladder out of poverty for at-risk kids and families. We have to strengthen and protect this support – because countless futures are on the line.
Kids need your voice and your compassionate support. Your donation will help hold lawmakers – from the White House to state houses – accountable to children’s needs. Please donate today – even $5 can make a difference!
