Way back in June of 2018, Alexandria and our grassroots movement shocked the nation in an upset that very few people saw coming.
Then in 2020, we proved that Alexandria’s victory wasn’t a fluke after she won her general, beating her Republican opponent who spent $10 million to unseat her.
Now it’s 2022, and Alexandria is up for re-election again this November – and how things shake out this year will depend greatly on you.
From day one, we have been defined by people-power and this year will be no different. In 2018, we beat a machine with a movement. In 2020, we beat millions in corporate and special interest dollars with that same movement. And we’re going to do it again. How? By once again proving that people-power is winning power.
Across the country, people look towards our campaign as a vanguard of progressive change. Every person who supports Alexandria’s reelection isn’t just supporting her — they’re supporting our movement and everything we’re fighting for.
That has an impact. When other members of Congress or politicians see thousands of grassroots activists aligning themselves in support of Medicare for All, a Green New Deal, and a livable minimum wage, it entices them to join our cause.
But building a movement takes work. And Alexandria is facing off with a MAGA Republican opponent in the general election this November.
Everything we’ve accomplished so far, from Alexandria’s shock upset in 2018 to this very moment, is a credit to the grassroots movement we’ve built together. Thank you for being part of it.
