Folks, I’m not exaggerating when I say our democracy is under attack.

The GOP is doing everything in its power to deny us the right to vote and undermine legitimate election results. According to election forecaster FiveThirtyEight , 60 percent of Americans will have an election denier on their ballots this November.

Even worse, many far-right election deniers running for the House are poised to win their races. If Democrats lose the House this November, we can say goodbye to passing any laws that will save our democracy.

I don’t think I have to tell you how terrifying that possibility is. And if we want to make sure that possibility doesn’t become a reality, we have to step up TODAY to defend our democracy.

Let me be clear: we’re on the cusp of a far-right takeover . And it isn’t just Congress that we should be worried about.

Election deniers are infiltrating state and local government positions and making it harder for folks to vote. They’re questioning the results of legitimate elections if the outcomes aren’t in their favor, and they’re riling up their far-right base with inflammatory lies.

If we let them, the far-right will take over – and not just in 2022. The 2024 presidential election will be at risk if we allow election deniers to continue taking control of our government.

I’m disgusted with the blatant attempts at voter suppression and election denial from the far right. And you can bet that I’m ready to fight like hell to uphold legitimate election results and defend our sacred right to vote.
