DEVELOPING... New Hampshire primary voters have selected their Senate candidate, and it's official:
Senator Maggie Hassan — an amazing environmental advocate with a perfect 100% rating in LCV's Environmental Scorecard last year — will go up against Don Bolduc, a pro-Trump election denier.
This is widely expected to be one of the closest races of the cycle.
In her last election, Sen. Hassan won by a margin of 1,017 votes. Every indication is that this race will be just as close.
The environmental movement's support will decide this race. There is not a path to an environmental majority in the Senate if we don't win it.
But field efforts in New Hampshire and in other key races are still underfunded, Friend.
A group of donors is matching every contribution up to $50,000 to scale efforts up.
If you're able — we're asking for help. Can you rush a donation to fund field efforts in swing states? Every contribution will be triple matched. Even $5 can make a difference >>
Your contribution will go towards a massive field organizing effort in New Hampshire, and in states like Arizona, Nevada, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin — where environmental leaders are in
incredibly tight races with Trump-endorsed candidates.
The focus is
all on early engagement with voters about the issues they care the most about — getting voters to support pro-climate candidates, to sign commit-to-vote cards, and to sign up to vote by mail.
Additionally, our canvass teams use a tactic called "vote tripling" — where we ask voters to commit to reminding three friends or family members to vote. Vote tripling maximizes the impact of a mobilization program as friends and family are often the most trusted messengers for voters. Here's where our teams are at so far:
- 356,042 door knocks
- 51,013 successful contacts with our targeted voters
- 1,284 vote by mail sign ups
- 3,698 commit to vote cards collected
- 5,883 vote tripling sign ups
Friend — bottom line, our field organizing programs work. Election after election — LCV Victory Fund has an incredible track record of defeating the worst anti-environment candidates and helping environmental leaders win their races.
We can pull this off in New Hampshire —
but it only works when folks like you pitch in.
So we're asking: Please, triple your impact today. Even $5 is enough to make a difference.
Thank you for everything you do — we've got a real shot at this one, but it's only going to come together with your help.
Onward,
Pete Maysmith
