That’s why the NDRC has been hard at work investing in down-ballot races all over the country that will determine the future of abortion rights, LGBTQ rights, and our democracy itself. Here’s what we’re doing in the run-up to Election Day:

➞ Working in 17 target states to protect access to the ballot and stop extremist GOP candidates who want to roll back our rights

➞ Supporting 313 Democracy Defenders up and down the ballot who will do everything in their power to defend our rights

➞ Thwarting GOP efforts to corrupt the pool of election workers and cause chaos at the polls

This model has led us to tremendous success in the past: In the 2020 redistricting cycle, it helped produce some of the fairest maps in a generation. So with the stakes of this year’s midterms higher than ever before in our lifetimes, it’s critical that we double down on our work.
