Friend: Our Fairness Project team has an unparalleled record of winning ballot measures AND defending our most democratic institutions. These institutions — and many of our fundamental freedoms — are what’s on the line this year in states across the country.
If you’re with us and agree that ballot measures belong to the people, help us fuel our work to win ballot measures AND defend them from attacks by extremist officials. >> [[link removed]]
DEFEND OUR DEMOCRACY [[link removed]]Here’s the short of it: Right now, we’re facing unprecedented attacks on our right to direct democracy. And it’s not just us who's noticing it — these attacks are making major headlines:

FIGHT BACK [[link removed]]After success in Kansas using the power of the people to defeat an anti-choice measure, extremists are coming after the ballot measure process. And they’re willing to use any means necessary. Earlier this year, we saw extremists in Michigan attempt to derail the entire process based on a technicality , undermining the will of hundreds of thousands of voters.
These attacks are why we launched our Ballot Measure Rescue Campaign in 2021 — a $5 million effort to protect direct democracy from attacks on the ballot measure process and ensure that voters in every state can exercise their democratic rights. In that first year alone, 87 attempts (!!) were made by state legislatures to prevent voter-driven campaigns from ever reaching the ballot.
But now, we’re less than 50 days from the midterms, and extremists are doing everything they can in these final days to attack direct democracy and stop progress in its tracks. To prepare for even more attacks as we get closer to Election Day, we need your support, team. Can you rush a donation today to help us defend the democratic process and power our 2022 campaigns to victory? [[link removed]]
