It's official, familia: The filing deadline has passed, and Democrats have a shot at winning more seats in the Texas State House than Republicans in 2020.

To most people, this was completely unthinkable just a few years ago, and it’s just the latest in a series of events that prove just how close we are to battleground state status.

It’s taken years of organizing, building an electorate, training, and building the pipeline of Texas’ future leaders to get here -- and our work isn’t done yet.

Showing up is one thing, but keeping these seats competitive through a heated election year is another. We need just nine seats to win a majority in the Texas State House. Our goal is to add tens of thousands of new voters to the rolls before Election Day, and we’re sending highly-trained volunteers all over the Lone Star State to boost capacity in a number of these races.
