This legislation would be a serious step forward in ending the corruption in Washington. But Republicans are already mobilizing to obstruct its passage, and if they retake Senate control, this legislation is dead in the water. We need to elect leaders like Trudy Busch Valentine to defend our majority and take dark money out of our elections.

Trudy is running for Senate to break dark money's grip on Washington and win families the decent, compassionate leadership that they deserve. That's why she's released a plan to bring integrity and honesty back to Washington. Here's what her plan would do:

- Prevent members of Congress from becoming lobbyists after they leave office, stop corporate PACs from buying our elections, and ban foreign corporations and governments from hiring lobbyists to sway lawmakers’ votes.
- Publish her calendar publicly so Missourians can see exactly who she's meeting with – and who she's not meeting with.
- Ban members of Congress and their spouses from trading stocks, and ban congressional family members from being paid by lobbying firms.
- Make sure that special interest groups can't pay for lawmakers to go on fancy trips that are often little more than luxury vacations.
