Meet Mike Barkley for Congress and knock-on doors in El Dorado Hills! We'll meet at 4311 Town Center Blvd, El Dorado Hills, CA 95762 (Starbucks at the Marketplace at Town Center) Saturday, September 24, 10:00 am. Have a cup of coffee and Meet Mike!

An organizer will give a brief training before we head out into the neighborhoods to talk to likely supporters and known Democratic voters.

Please be prepared for the weather - bring water and wear hats, sunscreen, and comfortable walking shoes. You will also need access to a smartphone. Instructions on downloading our mobile canvassing app, literature and talking points will be provided.

The League of Women Voters of El Dorado County is hosting a candidate forum. Bring your questions and get to know the candidates.

Dr. Kermit Jones is running in an open seat that is considered one of the most competitive in the country. It is on the 'Red to Blue' list, which means that a good Democratic candidate can flip this seat. Kermit is that candidate! This seat will help us maintain control of Congress.

We use an automatic dialer, which means you do not have to spend time dialing the numbers. Training will be provided, and in no time you will be an expert on the system and on Dr. Kermit!

Prop Talk is a series of virtual events in which we will share important information on CA Democratic Party endorsed initiatives and ways to get involved.

Join us on September 28 to learn about Yes on Prop 30.

Prop 30 taxes annual personal income over $2 million to fund wildfire prevention, clean air and climate change programs.

Join us on October 5 to learn about No on Prop 27.

Prop 27 legalizes online sports betting. Out-of-state corporations would get 90% of the profits leaving little to fight homelessness, and directly attacks the sovereignty of CA Native American tribes.

Join us on October 12 to learn about Yes on Prop 29.

Dialysis patients deserve protection under the law. Prop 29 will help ensure they receive safe treatment in dialysis clinics under the care of a doctor or another highly trained clinician in case of emergencies, without risk of infection, and without discrimination

The California Democratic Party leads the nation’s largest Voter Protection effort, composed of attorneys, poll workers, and dedicated Californians who all work to make voting easier and more inclusive.

As a volunteer with CADEM’s Voter Protection Team you have the choice to become a Voter Protection Resource Hotline Operator (remote around the state) or Poll Monitor (in-person).

Having a strong, diverse team of volunteers who can answer questions and offer assistance is essential to making sure every single Californian can cast their ballot with confidence.

Democratic Club News

August was a busy month. We held a coffee meeting hosted by Staci Evans which was well attended. We also enjoyed an evening meeting Dems After Dark held at Los Pinos in Cameron Park. Both meetings were well attended and we saw many new faces and gained several new members.

The 9/8 meeting featured speaker Bill O'Neill, EDC Registrar of Voters who spoke about the integrity and safety of the EDC Elections Dept. We also heard from Kyle Griffith, Coalition for Safe & Responsible Gaming who spoke in support of Prop 26 and opposed Prop 27.

Patti Schritchfield hosted Patti’s Postcard Party, sending out over 225 postcards in August. She will be hosted another party on 9/14 for Paula Velazquez, SD-6 who is in our neighboring district.
