John,
This exact week 20 years ago I stood in a brothel with undercover investigators, looking through a glass wall where there were young girls wearing red dresses. Each girl had a number pinned to her dress that corresponded to menus. The children sat motionless, watching cartoons on a crackling TV… except one girl. She was staring at us with a piercing gaze. Her number was 146.
We thought we were going to see the issue of human trafficking that night. Instead, we saw a person.
After that night, we began this journey, not fully knowing what was ahead. But as we told this story, people of all different backgrounds and perspectives came together around the shared value that no child should be trafficked. We started reaching children with programs to prevent child trafficking and care for survivors. And people, including you, came alongside us and did whatever they could do to help.
Two decades later, your support is still changing lives.

For privacy and protection, Love146 changes names and obscures details about our clients, and no identifiable images in our communications are of children known to be exploited.
Founded in 2002, Love146 journeys alongside children impacted by trafficking today and prevents the trafficking of children tomorrow. We connect the dots to understand how vulnerability operates in the lives of children, and intervene both to care for survivors who have been harmed and ultimately to prevent harm from happening in the first place. Our work is achieved through the power of relationships and collaboration, listening to those with lived experience and diverse backgrounds, scaling proven practices, and challenging the systems that leave children vulnerable. Our prevention and survivor care work has impacted more than 65,000 young people. Our core commitment is to do what is best for children.
