We’ve told you before about the absurd amount of money outside groups are spending in this race. Well, we just got word of some new numbers, so let's take a look:
So far, conservative groups have spent a whopping $161 million on 31 toss up House races during the general election.
There are three House races in particular that are seeing the bulk of this money and – you guessed it – Elissa is one of them. Two major super PACs – the Congressional Leadership Fund and the National Republican Congressional Committee – have spent $87 million and $50 million on those three races respectively. $21 million has been spent in Michigan’s new 7th district alone.
These may sound like overwhelmingly large numbers – and they are. But here’s the good news: the best way we know to combat this insane spending from outside groups is with grassroots support. In each of Elissa’s races, hard work and actual energy from voters has beat absurd outside spending every time.
