We are proud to announce that our Americorps VISTA member, Dina
Knott, has completed a year-long library overhaul to combine and
curate the best materials for pro bono lawyers and nonprofit staff.
The IAN Library is a collection of training materials, practice
advisories, and other resources for immigration legal advocates. Our
goal for this library renovation is to welcome new practitioners to
the field. The Library contains 17 sections, including Introduction
to Immigration; Asylum and Refugee Issues; and Community Engagement
and Empowerment. Each section has its own “Getting Started”
folder with the top resources for pro bono or nonprofit legal staff
who are new to the topic or need a refresh. See what's new at the
Library -

IAN Americorps VISTAs: Farewells & Welcomes

IAN says goodbye to two valued members of the Americorps VISTA
program, Tre Dennis-Brown and Dina Knott. Tre and Dina worked on
projects to support pro bono and nonprofit advocates, including the
library renovation, the newest edition of the Remote Legal Support
Guide, webinars, podcasts, and more. Tre is now the pro bono
coordinator at Kramer Levin Naftalis & Frankel LLP; and Dina is a
Legal Assistant, at the Wildlife and Marine Resources, Natural
Resources Division, Department of Justice. Now, new Americorps VISTA
Brittany Long is joining the team. Brittany comes to IAN with a
background in immigration and refugee asylum and years of experience
working in Greece within the refugee crisis. A fond farewell to Dina
and Tre and a warm welcome to Brittany!
