John,
When young people vote, they have the power to shape our country. In 2020, young voters turned out in historic numbers. That kind of energy is vital for our democracy to thrive -- and I know that we’ll see so many more young people carry forward that activism and passion into the midterm elections and every election after that. That’s why I’m excited to share that When We All Vote has teamed up with Climate Power to launch Vote Future -- a new effort to boost youth voter participation in the 2022 midterm elections. This joint campaign will educate young voters on climate and environmental justice and equip them with the tools to make their voices heard this fall.
We’ve launched VoteFuture.org, a central hub for organizing around the midterm elections that will allow voters to check their voter registration, find their polling location, and pledge to vote. |
The midterm elections are just a few weeks away, and it’s critical that we all use our voice and our power -- that’s how we can build communities where we can thrive. All 435 members of the House of Representatives, 35 out of 100 Senators, and countless elected officials in local and state governments are on the ballot this year. Every single one of us is going to be living with the consequences of the choices we make -- and the generations who follow us will live with those consequences, too. Each of us has the power to determine the direction of our country, and I hope that you will get involved in this election, and future elections to come.
