Dear John,

I’m proud of my mom for her intelligence, integrity and relentless effort to make our region the best that it can be.

As a new San Diego City Councilmember in 2017, she was the first elected official to stand up and oppose SoccerCity, an initiative backed by a group of private investors to essentially steal the stadium site in Mission Valley. A new documentary, SDSU: The 2nd Century—The Battle of Mission Valley, recognizes my mom’s key role in defeating SoccerCity and her support for SDSU West. You can watch her interview at 42 minutes in. She often says this accomplishment is what she is most proud of during her term on the City Council. She understood that investing in education and a beautiful river park would benefit San Diegans for generations to come.

I know that my mom will bring this same determination and forward thinking perspective to the position of San Diego County Assessor/Recorder/County Clerk.

Mail ballots are going out in 2 weeks so now is the time to step up and help.

Please contribute what you can.

It’s very easy to do, you log into a data base, press a button, the text messages come from a campaign cell phone.
