Technological advances are quickly outstripping the government's assessment of their health risk. The government hasn't updated cell phone radiation regulations since 1996! That's why last year, EWG took this issue into our own hands. We reviewed all the best available science and published our own health-based limits on cell phone use.

The result? EWG's limits are 200 to 400 times lower than what the federal government allows.

It's clear we can't count on government agencies to put up guard rails protecting us from these multibillion-dollar companies. So we're going straight to the source and calling on major phone carriers to funnel the millions of dollars they spend on advertising into ensuring wireless technology isn't a health risk.
