Adopt The Rhino Family today ( [link removed] ) and help protect this iconic species!

Dear wildlife lover,

Today is World Rhino Day, and we have some BIG news to share about our adopted Rhino Family ( [link removed] ).

Thanks to our amazing adopters, Born Free has been able to fund a vital new solar power initiative to support the brave rangers protecting a precious population of black and white rhino in Meru National Park's Rhino Sanctuary in Kenya.

The new solar powered equipment means that our rangers can spend far more time out on patrol protecting the wild population, and communication within the sanctuary has greatly improved.

This World Rhino Day, will you help us to continue to protect wild Rhinos in Kenya?

Meanwhile white rhino super mum Tana is busy looking after her SIXTH calf, under the watchful eye of dad - dominant male Gakuya, who guards his territory from other male rhinos! Rhinos are pregnant for between 15 and 16 months, the 63kg new born calf relies on its mother’s milk for up to two years. Way to go Tana!

With your help, we are determined to conserve Meru’s rhino and encourage a healthy population. You can support our efforts by adopting the Meru Rhino Family today and helping provide the protection these fascinating animals deserve.
