As Jamaal's Finance Director, I often get asked to explain just how campaign donations are spent towards our movement. So today we want to give you the opportunity to direct exactly where your next donation will go.
Before the end of the quarter on September 30, we'll specifically need help honing support for the following areas of our campaign: Television ads, on-the-ground canvassing, in-person events, and volunteer-led organizing.
1. TV Ads and Advertising
One of the strongest most effective campaign strategies we have at our disposal is our ability to spread our message to the furthest corners NY-16. And as we saw in our most recent Primary Election, television ads are a make-or-break resource — one that could be used for good or bad.
Our ability to keep our campaign ads on air made a massive impact on our primary victory, and we want to ensure that we can continue to push our ads to as many potential voters and supporters as possible.

2. On-the-ground canvassing
Our on-the-ground canvassing efforts have continued to grow over the course of our time in Congress. But as we work towards the general election, we're going to need to ramp up our tools and resources to continue reaching out to voters to share our progressive vision.
From clipboards and pens, to transportation costs and more, we need a grassroots boost to ensure we can cover as much ground as possible before Election Day.

3. In-Person Events
As we continue on the campaign trail towards re-election we want to make sure that Jamaal has the opportunity to meet with as many constituents as possible. And one of the best ways to grow our campaign is through connecting with supporters where they are.
In-person events help build community, camaraderie, and compassion for our neighborhoods.

4. Volunteer-led organizing
All across NY-16 there are people who need additional support and aid in their day to day lives. We're proud to know that we have a coalition of activists ready to answer the call and bring support to those who need it most.
From food-banking and clothes drives, to back-to-school drives and natural disaster relief, we want to ensure that we can keep up this hard and necessary work on all fronts.
