John,
In the wake of Dobbs v. Jackson, the battle for abortion rights is happening right now at the state level.
Reproductive justice is top of mind for so many of us, especially our State Bridges partners — on-the-ground organizations doing year-round power-building work to protect our rights.
Can you chip in $10 or more to join us in supporting their work as they fight for reproductive freedom in their states?
In the months following the Dobbs decision, these are some ways our partners have mobilized to protect abortion access:
-
One APIA Nevada has partnered with local organizations to host roundtables and protests to support abortion access. They are a part of the Reproductive Justice coalition in Nevada and the state Equal Rights Amendment committee, where they are working to further codify abortion and reproductive justice in Nevada’s state constitution. And they’re gearing up to support legislative plans to further protect abortion access and advocate for patient-to-provider ratios, in preparation for the influx of people seeking care from surrounding states.
-
We the People is organizing to support the Michigan Right to Reproductive Freedom ballot initiative, which would support providing a state constitutional right to reproductive freedom. They’re also hard at work organizing against corporate and wealthy actors that are attempting to limit abortion access through the healthcare system.
Year-round organizing on the ground is key to protecting and expanding abortion rights. We’re so proud to drive critical funds to organizations like One APIA Nevada and We the People through our State Bridges program — but as grassroots-powered organizations, they’re counting on our continued support.
We’re close to our fundraising goal! Right now, we’re working to raise $7,000 directly for our partner organizations, so they can keep up their critical work protecting abortion rights and building people power. Can you pitch in $10 or more today?
