Hi, y’all!

My name is Brigitte, and I’m the Deputy Digital Brand Director here at Texas Democrats. I’m so proud of the work I’ve done for the past two and a half years at the Party, growing a following of hundreds of thousands of folks across our social media platforms. Our message matters to a lot of people, and we’re still growing. Will you help us out so we can continue this awesome growth?

Growing up in Alabama, my Granny taught me to work hard, never say the word “can’t”, speak up for what I believe in, and not take BS from anyone. I still remember the look in her eyes when I told her that I was accepted into college. She was proud to have a granddaughter that had something that she didn’t -- the opportunity to get an education and make a life of her own.

Hellbent on helping me out with the cost of an education in this day and age, Granny saved her nickels and dimes to pay half of my tuition while I took out student loans to pay for the rest. And like millions of young folks across this country, I was able to make my Granny proud and get my degree -- but with the weight of crushing student loan debt on my mind.

Friend, back in August, the Biden-Harris Administration awarded millions of working Americans like me student debt relief. And 3.3 million of those folks are right here in Texas. Now, I can finally imagine a future where I can achieve financial stability. A future where I can own a home. Plan to start a family. Hell, even take myself on a nice vacation!

My Granny believed deeply that Democrats care for people. Real people. And Friend, I see that now more than ever before. From student debt relief to the Inflation Reduction Act, Democrats are working hard to secure a bright future for my generation. But there’s still so much more to be done.


The future of our state, the future we’re leaving for generations to come is at stake in this election. Friend, we can’t sit this one out. Would you consider chipping in $7 so we can create a Texas my future granddaughter would be proud of?

Of all the lessons I’ve learned in my life, this is one of the biggest: us Southern Democrats, we’re fighters. I know that if we put our all into this fight, we can win. Together.
