Allow me to introduce myself.

I’m Tasha Cole, the chief diversity officer here at the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee.

If my decades of experience have taught me anything, it’s that having diverse, representative leadership in Washington can change the world – and that grassroots Democrats like you chipping in $5, $10, or $20 at a time over this final stretch can help carry them to victory.

But don’t take it from me -- take it from the history books:

In 2008, Barack Obama became the first Black President in American history.

And under his watch, 20 million more Americans gained access to quality, affordable health care.

In 2018, the most diverse group of Democrats in American history took back the House Majority.

And thanks to their strong leadership, we kept Donald Trump’s extremist agenda in check and held his reckless administration accountable.

In 2020, we elected the first Black and South Asian woman to be Vice President of the United States.

And together with President Biden and our Congressional Majorities, Vice President Harris has led the charge to invest in infrastructure, combat climate change, create new jobs, lower health care costs, and so much more.

But our work is not done.

Because in just 48 days, Americans will head to the polls once again to decide the fate of our Democratic House Majority.

And after all the progress we’ve made, we simply can’t afford to lose to the most extreme group of House Republicans the world has ever seen.

That’s why I’m reaching out for the very first time.

My team at the DCCC is working harder than ever to defend our House Majority, elect a diverse class of House Democrats, and keep extremist Republicans out of power. But competing with the GOP and their mega donors is expensive, so I have to ask: Can you chip in $5, $10, or whatever you can spare to support the DCCC’s work and defend the most diverse House Majority in history?
