It's hard to believe, but we are already halfway through 2019, or six months into the Democratic House Majority that you worked so hard to deliver. Let's take a moment to assess where we are now:

House Democrats passed landmark legislation to strengthen voting rights, end partisan gerrymandering, and get big money out of politics. Mitch McConnell blocked it.

House Democrats passed long overdue gun reform, including expanded background checks and closing loopholes. Mitch McConnell blocked it.

House Democrats proposed legislation to beef up election security and safeguard our democracy from additional foreign attacks on our elections. Mitch McConnell blocked it.

House Democrats have come to the table time and time again to pass comprehensive immigration reform that would protect our Dreamers, stop this administration's draconian treatment of immigrants, and end the unconscionable conditions for children and families seeking asylum at the border. Every time, Mitch McConnell and Trump block it.

This tells us two things. First, Democrats in the House are working hard and passing positive, progressive solutions to the problems our communities and country are facing. But second, it tells us that if we're going to pass these bold policies into law, we must hold on to our House majority in 2020 and also take back the Senate and White House.

We're currently just two days away from our second FEC fundraising deadline of the year, and it's a crucial moment to prove to McConnell, Trump, and the rest of the GOP that the American people are fed up with their obstruction and far-right agenda.
